Perched among 14 acres of rolling hills, sweeping views and fresh ocean breezes in Oceanside, boutique venue Jeune Perché promises the feel of the Mediterranean without leaving Southern California. But most notable is the venue’s striking white façade of arches, which first drew designer Natalie Faye Fern of Faye Fern Creative. “Jeune Perché has a trademark Mediterranean arch structure that’s both inspiring and a design challenge,” she notes. “Whenever a space has pre-existing iconic elements that are very dominant, I love creating event concepts that lean into their beauty while also bringing something fresh and personal, so that it doesn’t feel like other events that came before.”
The Italian concept of sprezzatura—the art of nonchalant grace—became the guiding design principle, complementing California’s laid-back, slightly “undone” luxury. The design evoked an Italian garden villa, complete with Roman statues, wind-swept linens and lush, organic blooms.
Florals by Felicidad en Flor captured a sense of effortless beauty and natural movement, emphasizing texture and organic styling to blend seamlessly with the surrounding landscape. Thoughtful details elevated the reception space, including a one-of-a-kind Roman statue and bust, custom-draped tables, fabric-forward stationery, curated place settings and an olive-green confection.
The couple looked the part to a tee—the bride in a corseted Clair de Lune gown paired with a lace veil and the groom in a timeless tuxedo from Friar Tux. Though understated, the bar was an impactful moment featuring an unstructured arrangement and charming draped menu.
