Rather than follow tradition, the couple opted for a laid-back celebration with no bridal party or rehearsal dinner. Instead, they hosted a welcome party in the Madonna’s Secret Garden for all their out-of-town guests. Riannan and Aaron shared a private first look in the garden before the ceremony, which was officiated by Aaron’s father while they stood under a golden cherub. Each guest was handed a heart-shaped card and a Polaroid camera to capture memories during cocktail hour. The couple’s personal touches were everywhere, such as Riannan’s custom sweetheart mermaid dress adorned with a large bow and velvet bows tied to water glasses as escort cards. The reception was a journey through the decades, with music starting in the 1950s and progressing through the 2000s, turning the night into a nostalgic dance party. Before ending the night with a private dance in the inn’s Austrian Suite, the two sneaked away for a flash photo shoot. “My favorite moment was seeing her walk down those steps during the ceremony,” Aaron recalls. “I knew the next 15 minutes would change the rest of my life.”
