The twists and turns of the last year have been no match for adventurous and rock’n’roll loving couple Brittany and Andy Burkhart. The duo swapped their initial wedding plans for a smaller ceremony at the Surf & Sand Resort in Laguna Beach, an homage to their first date. Working alongside planner and event designer Dee Lee Designs, the couple solidified a bohemian glam feel for their intimate event, set to a romantic color pallette of nude neutral tones, dusty pink, and peach. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the pacific ocean, this rooftop wedding elegantly embodied the crossroads between boho and glam. After consulting with florist Emma Seitz of Leta Verbena, the couple decided to incorporate dried floral elements, pampas grass and rose gold accents to create a dynamic floral experience. To accompany her custom-made bridal jumpsuit from Thai Nguyen Atelier, Brittany's bouquet showcased lush white roses with blushing bride protea and a large stem of pink-dyed phalaenopsis orchids, all alongside bold metallic rose gold palm frond. Against the seaside backdrop, groom Andy embodied the coastal atmosphere in Tom Ford. Setting the scene of the event was a showstopping triangle arch, made of copper and adorned with both live and dried floral elements, establishing the bohemian glam feel throughout the event. And the cherry on top of the cake for this wedding was an appearance from DJ bselecta, the same DJ who was playing during Brittney and Andy’s first date at the Surf & Sand Resort. Though the couple plans to have a more extravagant event in the fall of 2022 that pays tribute to their love of rock’n’roll - including performances from a Kiss cover band - for now, their eye-catching custom rings and bands from David Yurman are a tribute to this couple’s bold style and an epic symbol of their everlasting love and committment to one another.
