Set along the turquoise shores of Cancun, Events by Tania designed a five-day celebration for Jasmine and Sahil’s nuptials that beautifully fused the couple’s Indian and Mexican heritages. Held at the Iberostar Riviera Maya, each event unfolded with a distinct flair while being fused by a colorful, tropical aesthetic.
The week opened with a vibrant beachside welcome party and continued with a pre-Hispanic blessing honoring Jasmine’s roots, a military ceremony recognizing Sahil’s service in the U.S. Marine Corps and a vibrant Sangeet where guests experienced an ancient Mayan marriage ritual alongside high-energy Indian performances. The crescendo came with a lively Baraat and a traditional Hindu wedding before closing with an emotional “Grand Finale” reception.
Design played a central role in uniting their cultures. Tropical floral installations—featuring bougainvillea, marigold, ginger and birds of paradise—shifted in scale and style with each event while bold linens, artistic lighting and music selections honored both families. The couple’s shared passions inspired global-influenced menus, signature cocktails for each night and personalized welcome bags filled with culturally inspired items.
Traditions from both sides were seamlessly interwoven: mariachi and tequila toasts celebrated Jasmine’s heritage while Sahil’s Indian customs were honored through the Vidi Haldi, Sangeet and Hindu ceremony.
One standout moment came during the Baraat when guests danced down a palm-lined path to the beat of a live dhol, embodying the week’s energy and joy. For Jasmine and Sahil, the celebration was more than a wedding—it was the merging of worlds. “Blend your worlds unapologetically,” advises the couple. “The most beautiful moments come from honoring who you are together.”
