The latest and greatest in all things bridal wear is showcased during New York Bridal Fashion Week (NYBFW), and this year, we were lucky enough to have the team from Mon Amie, Southern California's premiere bridal salon, on the ground in the Big Apple. By attending fashion shows and designer sneak peeks, they gathered all of the information we need to know to stay on top of the trends for the coming year. As always, a few of those trends stood out in big ways, with several designers reflecting the styles we're seeing in the fashion industry as a whole. Difficult as it may be, Mon Amie narrowed down their favorites and shared the one designer they simply can't get enough of.

1. Shimmer & Shine

For the bride looking for a touch of glam on her big day, sparkles are making a subtle splash for 2018. Think soft layers of sparkle tulle or glittered fabric, as well as matte sequins and glimmering embroidery. No one is doing understated shine better than Berta Bridal:

2. Modern Menswear

Bringing clean lines and classic tailoring, menswear is adding a modern edge to the bridal industry. Gowns featuring notched backs or fronts, folded over bands along the top of dresses, and princess seams are just a few of the details bringing this theme to light.  Justin Alexander's bomber jacket is the perfect way to touch on this trend without fully committing:

3. High Necklines

Think: Modern Grace Kelly. Lace and fabric chokers offer a new take on the classic high neckline. Designer Liancarlo featured a lace choker on a favorite gown from their collection:

With their favorite trends outlined, we had just a few final questions for the team at Mon Amie:

What surprised you at NYBFW?

"Two words...Mark Zunino. We are obsessed with the collection, and it was the break-out of fashion week. We can’t wait to have it in store," says Danielle Keller of Mon Amie.

Which of your favorite designers are you most excited to showcase in-store for the coming season?

"Mark Zunino, Berta and Yumi Katsura."
