Southern California brides are making the trek to Thousand
Oaks’ newly opened Wisteria Bridal—and for good reason. Owners and lifelong
friends Carisa Thompson and Karli TK opened their doors to their lovely blush
pink salon, complete with crystal drop chandeliers, this past spring and
revealed their exclusive, hand-picked selection of wedding gowns.

“I felt like every salon carried the same designers and
dresses,” explains the bridal-obsessed Thompson of her decision to open a
boutique. “Brides in Ventura are always traveling to Los Angeles and Beverly
Hills to find high-end couture wedding gowns, so we wanted to fill that void.”

Wisteria Bridal has achieved the perfect balance of exclusivity
and comfort, showcasing a curated selection of wedding dresses from
hard-to-find designers such as London’s cutting-edge Elizabeth Stuart to the
couture of Nicole Miller, Australia’s Eugenia Couture, the beachy, bohemian
vibe of Amanda Garrett, fairy-tale gowns by Anne Barge and stunning princess
moments by Eve of Milady. “We want to pull designers that create an air of
luxury and exclusivity, because no one else has them,” explains Thompson. And
it offers a full wedding shopping experience with bridesmaids and flower girl
gowns as well as a stunning array of accessories, from sashes and jewelry to
veils and crowns. “You can tell when a bride is in the dress that might be the
one,” notes Thompson. “Their expression changes, and the tears start happening.
And that’s why we are here.”
