From a boho-glam affair to a safari-inspired retreat, the one-of-a-kind textiles from Designer Specialty Linens Luxe collection are a great start to building wedding decor. To inspire couples in the planning stages, eight wedding event designers and florists collaborated to create beautiful and unique tabletop decor based on these stunning linens and debuted their visions at Long Beach's newest reception venue, The Loft on Pine.

Los Angeles-based Modern LA Weddings took an edgy approach to creating a table décor around the Designer Specialty Linen’s Provence in Platinum linen, which reminded the design team of a chain link fence and inspired them create a “Punk-Rock-Glam” theme. “Our goal was to create something that blended the hard of punk rock Punk Rock with soft romance and modern chic…think Chanel meets Alexander McQueen,” explains Nam Lam of Modern LA.

Florist Cesar Haro, created an towering eight-foot sculptural centerpiece of white roses, tulips, giant silver faux blooms, topped with a black branch Mohawk while two additional eight-foot centerpieces flanked each side of the table. White roses, pave style in mirror trays created a runner effect down the center of the table with accents of white anemones in black crystal cups. Upping the modern edge, the table was staged in an asymmetrical fashion. On one end, Lam placed “punk runway-inspired” chairs accented with jewel chains and pendants with color alternating place settings adorned with custom houndstooth napkins. The dinner menus where encased in a zipper cover while the hot pink place cards were accented with safety pins and diamond studs.

The opposite end featured the main eight-foot centerpiece, two low accenting arrangements and dozens of white stem roses cascading down the table. Adding to the punk vibe, Lam created a backdrop out of a hanging chain wall, tied back like curtains with gems. The final wow factor was a custom black couture gown, created by Evey, an innovative fashion designer based in Los Angeles. And the green apple? The company’s signature detail. “Every event we do is stamped as a Modern LA Weddings event with a green apple,” says Lam.
