As the owner of the hair and makeup styling company The Studio Agency, Cathryn had specific ideas about her wedding dress; she knew she wanted something casually chic, with a timeless appeal and sophisticated black-tie feeling. She took her ’70s inspirations to the talented Arminé Ohanessian of R-Mine Bespoke, who created her dream dress, a two-piece silk matte ensemble with a low back, long, draped sleeves and fitted skirt. “I was definitely a bridezilla about this part of the process, and Arminé reassuredme it would turn out fabulous! The end result was a comfortable and elegant wedding dress,” raves Cathryn. And best of all, Arminé designed a gown that Cathryn can wear again, interchanging either the top or the skirt for a new look— which sounds ideal for those yearly New Year’s Eve anniversary parties that are sure to come.
