Citrus Brought a Splash of Color to an Elegant Affair
A splash of color brought a fresh flavor to Meighan McLafferty and Philip Kaestle’s nuptials. The couple maintained a classically elegant aesthetic while incorporating vivid citrus elements into their design. Tying the knot at Ojai Valley Inn, pink blossoms and decorative bowls of mandarins were striking against the Spanish hacienda-style resort. Meighan followed her blush bridal party down the aisle wearing a stunningly simple strapless dress featuring a cuff neckline and an eye-catching oversized bow. She and Philip, whose navy blue suit was accented with a pink and white boutonniere, exchanged vows underneath the venue’s sweeping oak tree. As guests made their way to the reception, they could sip on citrus beverages ranging from lavender lemonade to pixie tangerine margaritas. Mandarins attached to place cards provided a sweet snack as people found their table setting, where menus featuring watercolor oranges awaited them. The tables were teeming with pink, red and peach flowers, and candles added a soft glow to the evening. Kumquats and greenery even decorated the cake with a pop of color. As Meighan and Philip basked in their vibrant celebration, they were sure to look forward to a bright future.
