When Jason Altepeter met Heather Petersen, he knew she was something special—and it wasn’t just because they both had the name Peter in their last names. Heather and Jason fell in love when they least expected it, right in the midst of pursuing their dreams. But they made it work, and years later, they tied the knot in front of 450 of their friends and family. The couple was inspired by the Hollywood glam of the movie La La Land, so they wanted to create a black-tie affair with epic entertainment. Their smoked acrylic and holographic save-the-dates set the tone for the event. At the cocktail hour, guests sipped Champagne poured by “champagne angels,” aerial artists hanging delicately from chandeliers. At the reception, wow-worthy details included aerial violinists and an inaugural pour of the couple’s own wine label. Their ode to Hollywood continued with their custom-choreographed first dance, an over-the-top La La Land arrangement that had a dress change mid-dance and ended with impressive pyrotechnics (see the video on our website). To top it all off, the guests enjoyed a silent dance party (guests wear cordless headphones enabling everyone to party long into the night without noise restrictions) that culminated with all the guests, including the newlyweds, singing “Bohemian Rhapsody.”
