Among San Diego's wine country, you can find Monserate Winery, a sprawling vision of vineyards and nature. R. Cohn Events and a team of talented vendors from around the area came together to create a styled shoot centered around the persisting elegance and intimacy of a sit-down dinner. A distinguishing factor for this team was to showcase how sit-down dinner designs can add a special flair to small and large weddings alike. The shoot also featured wines from Monserate's vineyards, offering an array of options with immense convenience. Fittingly, the expansive backdrop of Monserate Winery brought a vast ambiance that had the extravagance of a large venue while keeping the actual design feeling intimate.
The color palette was centered around playful baby pinks and whimsical pops of chartreuse highlighted across décor and complimenting florals. Sage was a tranquil backdrop for signage and invitations; the shade also was an unexpected and bold pair with chartreuse on tablescapes that was a venture into the world of monochromatic we absolutely love. There was an aura of magic the team wanted to bring to the design and served as a foundation to explore color and texture, which was actualized amongst San Diego's surrounding beauty. Our bride's attire paid homage to the palette with a lace-up back featuring a luscious pink ribbon. Our groom opted for more understated neutrals with a tan suit, but a sage tie brought the stylish infusion of the theme to his look. Florals were a dreamy motif across our bride's gown, linens and wedding confections.
A dinner setup was nestled between rows of vineyards, offering a unique take on the classic winery wedding. The property also boasts photo-ops galore, and a minimalistic ceremony design in front of a pond exemplifies understated glamour with a hint of woodland allure. Tablescapes were perhaps the true star of this shoot, featuring a modern cohesion that transformed the space. A floral-patterned tablecloth sets the foundation for the design and atop sat gold silverware and chartreuse plates accented with sage ribbons and pink menus sealed with a golden pop. The custom name tags were a regal display in velvet sage that brought an elevated elegance. Tan chargers were almost reminiscent of San Diego's more tropical locales and brought an infusion of neutrals to tie the entire look together. A handmade floral cake by Violet Cake Company looked as if it was adorned with real blooms and sat on its own throne of pink linens and décor. Elegant florals were centerpieces that echoed our bride's own darling bouquet.
