After COVID cancellations, the third time was the charm for Rachael & Taylor when they finally got to tie the knot
Hints of Hawaii and Some SoCal Culture Came Together for this Couple's Nuptials

Heather Ensley and Charles Kidd II knew they wanted to get married somewhere that felt like home while incorporating Heather’s Hawaiian roots. The pair fell in love with a grandiose Tudor-style mansion in Arlington Heights that neighbors the American Horror Story mansion. The grand staircase and bohemian ambiance were the perfect fit for the artsy couple. A rich winter palette of wine, blush gold, earthy green and black complemented Heather’s traditional Hawaiian lei po‘o flower crown and paired seamlessly with the Old Hollywood–style bridal attire of lush velvet and lace.
Heather and Charles wanted a nontraditional day that meshed both their styles and emphasized what was important to them. The maid of honor custom-painted a vegan leather jacket for Heather with an inside joke about marriage, “All Me, All the Time.” A Caribbean soul food caterer and an improvising violinist who performed during the DJ’s pre-ceremony music made for a unique, fun-filled celebration. The couple cherished sharing authentic moments with their guests and feeling alive with the spirited music. A fusion of Hawaiian culture, black history and laid-back SoCal vibes perfectly embodied the couple’s personalities and created their dream wedding day.
