Nalini and Anuj's three-day Indian Wedding transformed the Ojai Valley Inn into distinctive, colorful designs showcasing tradition and celebration. The festivities began with a traditional Sangeet, an event celebrated before a wedding to honor the new union between two families in the Hindu tradition. The evening showcased an elegant design of tropical florals, bright colors and rattan accents. For their ceremony on the luscious Orchard Lawn, our couple wed beneath a Mandap, designed for a Hindu marriage and swathed in hanging florals. Delightfully romantic pink chairs that evoked a "Bridgerton" type of romance infused the garden party setting, which served the backdrop for our couple to engage in traditions such as kindling a fire to represent the sacrament of their marriage and exchanging floral garlands. In North Indian Hindu culture, the saptapadi is also an important tradition where newlyweds have pieces of their attire tied together and circle around the ceremonial fire to ask for blessings from the gods. Nalini and Anuj both were adorned in gorgeous garb for their nuptials, which centered around hues of lilac, mauve and champagne. A large bridal party featuring sixteen people total brought immense energy and style to the day as well, wearing gorgeous outfits and planning out dances for the reception.
The Farmhouse at Ojai Valley Inn set a tastefully rustic stage for a dramatic reception that pulled glamorous inspiration from smoke and mirrors. A four-course feast crafted by CGA Catering offered guests an array of dishes from vegan dumplings to late night impossible burgers with french fries, and a bar managed by Garnish Craft Cocktails offered thirst-quenching options in cocktail and mocktail form. As a speciality offer for the later hours of the night, espresso martinis were the perfect infusion of energy to keep the dancing going. A grandiose showcase of love for Nalini and Anuj made for a reception filled with speeches, elaborate dancing and carefully-planned homages to the newlyweds; a speech from Nalini's parents was an emotional highlight for the bride and many guests. The weekend was a grandiose fête set in the picturesque Ojai Valley that showcased three unique and stylized designs that all worked to promote a cohesive picture of Nalini and Anuj's relationship.
