It was the contagious smiles of Amanda Safar and Ryan Davis that first drew us to their wedding and, when we saw the rest of the details, we were sold. The couple first met while Amanda was living in New York and dated long-distance for a year and a half before she moved to California-- Ryan's neck of the woods. Shortly after, he proposed on a beautiful Saturday morning hike in Temescul Canyon and surprised Amanda by having her family hike up 5-minutes behind them to witness the special moment.
The couple's ceremony and reception were both held at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa which they used as inspiration for their color palate and decor. They filled each space with rich blues and oranges, warm lights, and hand-painted ceramic tiles to enhance the location's Spanish flair and let nature do the rest. Amanda walked down the aisle at their outdoor ceremony in a lace gown from Ulla-Maija Couture that beautifully contrasted her bridesmaid's dark dresses. Prior to their public vows, the couple also kept with Jewish tradition by gathering close friends and family to observe as they signed their license and made their marriage official.
The reception was filled with delicious food and dancing which was captured on canvas by an extremely talented live-event painter. Rather than stopping at the ceremony and reception, Amanda and Ryan turned the celebration into a 3-day affair. It kicked off with a golf-tournament and welcome dinner on Friday, continued with a Saturday morning yoga class, and concluded with a farewell brunch before everyone departed on Sunday. The weekend showcased the couple's undeniable love for one another and will live on through photographs and memories forever.
