California Wedding Day Spring/Summer 2026

A secluded new spot to say “I do”: Villa Zosaneli is a 28-acre private estate wedding venue within North San Diego’s wine country, featuring a ceremony setting with sweeping views and multiple gathering spaces for up to 220 wedding-goers. Stay the weekend in one of the 22 rooms within its four Italian-style villas.

This design was a celebration of tone, texture and INTENTIONALITY. It was about showing couples that they don’t have to choose between bold and elegant, or ROMANTIC and editorial. With the right team and thoughtful design, you can have it all—an EXPERIENCE that feels both timeless and deeply personal.

Shy away from dark colors in the summer? Never. Gaston was inspired by the overall palette of warm earth tones paired with rich burgundies and soft floral-forward accents. The goal, Gaston notes, was “to bring traditionally moody colors into a summer setting in a way that felt elevated, dimensional and effortlessly luxe.”

Designed by Flower Snob, the lush and unstructured floral arrangements are a mix of fresh blooms with dried textures, lending movement and visual interest.

Wider tables help accommodate FULLER floral designs and candle clusters without overwhelming guests, and repurposing ceremony florals throughout your reception is a THOUGHTFUL way to stay cohesive and maximize impact.

Floral-patterned clay dinner plates add an artisanal softness to the tablescape, while embroidered linens and richly hued, hand-painted floral candles round out the mocha palette in a way Gaston says is dimensional, never overpowering. “Every detail, from the layered textures to the refined color palette speaks to someone [who has] a deep appreciation for thoughtful aesthetics and curated experiences.”

Guests are invited to find their dinner seat via a striking installation piece: a three-paneled seating chart featuring integrated lighting by Coull Concepts.

If you’re drawn to DEEPER hues but planning a spring or summer wedding, don't be afraid to lean into contrast. Mix tones like burgundy, mocha, dusty rose and cream to create VISUAL flow.
