Valerie and Cameron were inseparable from the moment they met in Atlanta, Georgia. The city was new to both, and the pair explored together as their love deepened. Cameron proposed in Charleston, South Carolina, where their families flew in for an engagement celebration.
For their destination wedding in California, the adventurous couple dreamed of luxurious beachside elegance. A refined ceremony at the First United Methodist Church, followed by a lively reception at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort, incorporated classic tradition and coastal style.
The church’s Spanish-style architecture provided a stunning backdrop for a bright floral design that embraced the warm colors and textures of the desert. Soft ivory roses and red carnations were hugged by mauve and blush-toned blooms, decorating the church aisles and then cascading from the candlelit dining tables and bar at the Hilton.
Welcomed by custom cocktails, guests enjoyed a scenic seafront sunset from the second floor of the hotel’s rotunda as the bridal party gathered for their grand entrance. An energetic Egyptian zaffa, complete with drumming and dancing, honored the bride’s heritage and kicked off a boisterous evening under chandeliers and the stars.
