Elements of texture are stylish and effective way to spice up any classic bouquet - and are all the rage this spring and summerFor Emma Seitz of Leta Verbena, texture gives brides a great way to focus on a specific hue while still adding some variety to their bouquet. Bringing in pampas grasses and dried ruscus are great options for expanding your texture palette in any bouquet. Using dried elements also gives brides a great way to explore bright colors and shades with lots of opportunities to dye dried elements like palm fronds for a lively flourish of colorAnd, a pop of texture not only is chic but adds an element of stability and structure to your bouquet that is sure to last you throughout the entire day.

KEEP IT NATURAL

Connecting to nature and the outdoors has been a hallmark for weddings and events over the past year, and this trend is here to stay! Sticking to a natural floral color scheme is a trend that's giving many brides the perfect complement to a gorgeous outdoor space or a taste of the outdoors at indoor receptions. Deborah James of Bella Vita Events is seeing this trend all over the industry, saying, “After being stuck inside for that last year, we see lots of girls incorporating nature and greens, with explosions of whites around them, to help them bring the outdoors inside to their ceremony or reception space.” Brooke Heflin of Burlap & Bordeaux is embracing this trend, and the arrangement below is a stunning example from Burlap & Bordeaux of a nature-inspired bouquet. Heflin said, "This bouquet really was a dream come true! Neutrals and rusts were the main color inspirations for this bouquet with subtle pops of blush, green, and purple." Featuring white anemones, brown lisianthus, bronze-tinted orchids, neutral-colored roses with varied greenery alongside a touch of texture from purple acacia, mint from baby eucalyptus, black agonis, and dried fern varieties gave this bouquet a soft, dynamic finish.

Accenting your bouquet with subtle color alongside classic neutrals is a surefire way to make your bouquet stand out. Dee Lee of Dee Lee Designs weighed in on this trend, commenting on this gorgeous and combination of florals and scents. Featuring peonies, sweet peas, roses, jasmine, and ranunculus, this bouquet not only embraced a natural feel aside subtle pink blossoms, but brought together an aromatic scent combination that was the perfect fit for this blushing bride.

PLAY AROUND WITH COOL TONES

For Emma Seitz of Leta Verbena, blue is the color to watch for this season! Working with cool tones like shades of blue and purple are all over weddings for the upcoming season and look dazzling alongside creamy neutral tones in bridal bouquets. Seitz said, "The good news is that you can take blue so many different directions, like with this wildflower-inspired bouquet. Featuring blue delphinium, blue tweedia, blue thistle, white dahlias, anemones, chamomile, eucalyptus, and sweet daisies from the mother of the bride's garden.” From baby blues to deep azures, mixing and matching different hues of blue is sure to add a brilliant pop to your bouquet.

If you’re looking for to stay in the realm of cool tones while emphasizing drama, working with purple is a great way to bring in a luxurious feel to your bouquet. Setiz said, “Soften deep purple tones with lavender, white and blush. This beauty features major pops of color from deep purple hydrangea, stock, calla lily, antique carnations, and hellebore and major drama from blush cymbidium orchids, and whimsy from bleached dried ruschs and white peonies.” Bringing in that element of regality and extravagance is sure to set your personalized floral creation apart this season and be the perfect accompaniment for your walk down the aisle.

THINK TROPICAL

One of the most exciting trends this upcoming season in bouquets is bringing tropical elements into the spotlight! If you’re looking to embody the tropical spirit and bring a splash of fun into your bouquet, consider this pairing of rich green tropical grasses and fronds with elegant white flowers and unique touches. Seitz described this dynamic creation saying, Tropicals are here to stay, and can make a major impact with a bridal bouquet. This bouquet went for a softer tropical color--yellow tree peonies--which were offset with miniature pineapples, green thistle, and major leaf drama with monsterra leaves, sago palm, and aralia leaves.”

MAKE A BOLD STATEMENT

After a year of limited gatherings and events, there’s no better time to go big than this season. For brides looking to explore bold, bright colors and extravagant floral creations, this trend is for you!
