Wedding planners take on the project of a lifetime when they design their own nuptials. Jamison Evans struck a harmonious balance between her professional background and her personal tastes to bring her wedding to Jerry Lopez to life. With 22 years of event planning experience, the bride knew just how to infuse ethereal elegance into the celebration. Two grand arches, bedecked in asymmetrical arrangements of cascading greenery and light-hued blooms, were set up to welcome guests to the open-air ceremony and make the space feel like a regal church, giving the sprawling vineyard a more intimate feel. Jamison’s father did double duty, both leading her down the aisle and officiating the exchange of vows—Jerry’s oldest son humorously asked, “Who is giving her away?” as they reached the altar. The bride’s design included a bow theme that was subtly woven into the celebration, appearing as accents in the bridesmaids’ dresses and the stunning three-tier Lambeth cake. The alfresco festivities continued as friends and family found their seats at round reception tables adorned with cream-colored linens, romantic candlelight and low arrangements of pastel florals, all enhancing the airy vision of the day. Revelry was the true theme of the evening, as each table was assigned a designated “party animal,” who was given the task of keeping their tablemates engaged in the evening’s fun (and sipping on “Jami’s Drops” and “JLo’s Old-Fashioneds,” the newlyweds’ signature cocktails). Naturally, competitive group performances broke out: a flash mob rendition of the macarena “the wave,” and even a lively conga line. Attendees were treated to ample sweet treats throughout the event, including a coffee-and-doughnut display, a paletas cart and a tray of homemade chocolate chip cookies gifted by a dear friend.
