European Inspiration and Vivid Colors Mingle Under a Canopy of Trees at Quail Ranch

The pair of old souls had each spent time working abroad and loved the idea of adding European touches to a quintessential Californian vibe. Kelley Campau and Ryan Mattie found their perfect European-meets-SoCal backdrop at Quail Ranch in Simi Valley. The 1920’s Spanish-style home surrounded by avocados, lemon trees and mountains stirred the feeling of a charming European villa. Provence-inspired fresh lavender was incorporated throughout the décor from the floral arrangements (a blend of roses, ranunculus and peonies) to the cocktail garnishes, homemade simple syrup and escort cards. The bridal party’s attire drew on old Hollywood style and hues of opal stone. The duo exchanged vows under an oak tree adorned with antique jars, glass and crystal lanterns and punctuated with creamy pink and coral roses. Lace from Kelley’s grandmother’s wedding gown garnished her and her mother’s bouquets. Kelley changed into a vintage ‘60s sequin dress and her mother’s 49-year-old wedding-day headpiece for the reception and danced to a playlist of ‘50s and ’60s hits. Kelley and Ryan had a white ribbon send-off and started their new journey together driving off in a vintage convertible Porsche.
