Bliss
& Bone
creator Cindy Skanderup knows a thing or two about planning a
wedding—after all, the LA-based graphic and Web designer designed all of her
invitations and collateral from scratch when she wasn’t able to find exactly
what she imagined. And when guests couldn’t stop gushing long after the “I do’s”
had been said, the newlywed knew she could help other couples achieve the same high-quality
look. “Your wedding begins the day you get engaged,” says Skanderup, “and it
begins for your guests the moment they receive the save-the-date. It is their
first glimpse at who you are as a couple.”

The
high-fashion designs go beyond printed-paper and incorporate materials such as
chiffon, birdcage tulle, leather, tissue paper and wood veneer. To keep the
line on trend—and feeling customized—Bliss & Bone retires its lines after
about nine months and debuts new designs. And there is something for every
price point, with three levels available within each collection, from the basic
Foundation, which includes the save-the-date, thank-you note, invitation,
personal wedding website, inspiration board and brand sheet (prices start at
$3,430 and vary by collection), to the more customizable Essentials or Frills
collection where items are purchased à la carte. Plus, each package comes with a
wedding website, timeline and inspiration board to make planning the perfect
day that much easier.
