When a Pinterest marketing executive gets married, it's safe to assume the wedding will be steeped in style. Enter Elizabeth Mansfield: a Director of Business Marketing at Pinterest, and her (now) husband Dan Moskowtiz. The duo hosted a matrimonial fête at their home in Northern California that reimagined the luxury of a backyard wedding. Nestled across the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County, their mid-century property features mountain views and charming architecture that was well-suited for the couple to exchange nuptials in their shared home. Elizabeth set out to plan a "modern Mediterranean" celebration and utilized Pinterest to meticulously plan the details with dazzling results. Local fares and goods found themselves on full display across the entire weekend, highlighting Northern California's artisanal allure. Food from nearby vendors was transformed into delectable bites and local wines kept glasses full through the night. A welcome party at Andy's Local Market in San Rafael also offered gorgeous views of the adjacent marina and bay.

A Monique Lhuillier gown was a vision on bride Elizabeth. Fitting for the elegant and bold bride, the mermaid-style fit with sophisticated off-the-shoulder statement sleeves accented a form fitting bodice. A delicate floral print adds whimsy to a head-turning silhouette, a fitting addition to the "modern Mediterranean" theme. Her counterpart, Dan, opted for a more understated glam, featuring a local custom-made suit. Like Elizabeth, he wasn't afraid to venture into the world of patterns, with a muted tie adding some texture to his outfit and a boutonniere tying the look together. Bold textures and mixed patterns were an effortless nod to the whimsy of the Mediterranean and the looks from the day were a key focal point.
Set amidst a luxurious pool setup, the ceremony brought old-world European and California ease together with gorgeous stone walls and florals framed by palm trees. The altar expanded upon bold hues subtly woven into Elizabeth's dress in a luxurious display of blooms. Keeping on trend with the vision, florals were prominently woven throughout the day's design with a subtle edge. For a meaningful twist on sustainability, Sonoma-based artist Whimsey Makes is currently recycling the flowers from the wedding into plant-based dyes that she will use to create a keepsake robe for Elizabeth and throw pillows for their house.
Post nuptials, our bride and groom basked in their newlywed glow. Their backyard transformed into a reception space under the cover of palm trees and local greenery for a night of dancing. Circular tables and accented wooden elements continued to bring a Mediterranean flair and elegantly crafted signage brought a romantic touch. The Northern California locale was an elegant contrast to the design that paid homage to the couple's home state. To tie together the ambiance, string lights lined the space and kept the party alive into the evening.
Elizabeth went all out with her late-night look, an unapologetic and glamorous jumpsuit featuring an embellished sequin bodice with feather cuffs and sleek white pants. With dramatic fashion choices and colors featured in florals and decor, the entire design actualized an expansive take on a specific theme while keeping immense room for the couple to bring their own personas and relationship into the day. The subtlety of such a bold theme oozed style and truly made for a picture-perfect day.
