Ashley and Augustine wanted their wedding to leave a lasting impression and it did so in the most personal way possible.
The celebration wove together three distinct cultural traditions: a Catholic ceremony, a Korean Paebaek ceremony and the Vietnamese Chào Bàn table-to-table tradition. Ashley changed outfits for each, donning a ceremony gown, traditional Korean attire for the Paebaek and a Vietnamese ensemble for the Chào Bàn.
The design reflected the couple's heritage, creating a meaningful experience throughout. A refined blue accent palette ran through the decor alongside specialty tabletop rentals and custom menus from Korea. When guests opened those menus, they found a handcrafted scarf inside featuring an illustration of the venue. A custom letter written to each individual guest ensured no one in the room felt like a number. Live sketch artists captured intimate moments throughout the day and a bossa nova band played through cocktail hour and dinner, a nod to the music that soundtracked the early days of their relationship during the COVID era.
Perhaps the most meaningful detail was the "Ring, Sip and Be Seated" display, a storytelling installation that began with photographs of their parents and transitioned into images of Ashley and Augustine, celebrating the legacy of love that came before them.
