New York Bridal Week is in full swing and while we’re cooling our heels in Los Angeles (hard at work creating beauty for our Spring issue of California Wedding Day magazine), Natalie Good of A Good Affair Wedding and Event Production took to the bridal runways of New York to bring us all the scoop firsthand. Be sure to check our Instagram (Instagram/californiaweddingday) for all the beautiful dresses and inspirations that have already stolen our hearts.
We’re kicking off our Bridal Week coverage with Rivini’s gorgeous collection inspired by designer Rita Vinieris’ favorite things: tunics, sweatshirts and simple tees. Highlights of this ethereal collection included scalloped layers of fabric, sheer tulle, loose and flowing tunic styles, long-sleeved lace and low cut backs. Check out the few runway shots below captured on-the-spot by our intrepid wedding planner-turned-fashion reporter and we'll share the full collection next week.
From our eyes on the runway, Natalie: “I was inspired by Rivini's use of light, even the venue--The Park Hyat--featured walls with illuminated light from floor to ceiling which played beautifully with Rita's collection. I loved the plunging necklines with detailed beading and simple skirts. The fabrics were so light and airy, very ethereal and perfect for an oceanfront wedding ceremony but still detailed and chic. The asymmetrical lines with the full tulle skirt was beautiful and I loved the texture the swirls create.”
