The design for Priscilla and Jeffrey’s Terranea nuptials was an ode to their love and lives. The couple first met in England at a product conference for Skechers footwear. Priscilla was modeling shoes, and Jeffrey had flown in from Skechers’ Los Angeles head office to give a presentation to the European countries. Like a scene from a movie, it was love at first sight. The two dated for several years before tying the knot in a celebration that beautifully blended their Chinese and Jewish cultures. “I intentionally integrated elements of their love story into their wedding day,” says their planner, Jessica Valenzuela of Not Jess A Planner. Their shoe story was subtly woven into the fabric of their day. For example, the seating chart showcased the Los Angeles and London skylines, connected by a heart made from shoelaces. The couple also included custom shoe-shaped cookies with their monogram “J&P” as wedding favors. Equally as important as their love story were their heritages. Valenzuela honored these aspects with small but powerful details, such as their invitation suite and wedding cake, which showcased the double happiness symbol, popularly displayed at Chinese weddings.
