Rachel and Corey Calahane first met when he offered to help her move music gear at a concerts and, despite his shaggy, shoulder-length hair, Rachel was smitten. The couple's decision to get married was mutual and they picked out Rachel's 1950s vintage ring from Hamilton Estate Jewelry in San Luis Obispo together before Corey got down on one knee.
They both grew up on the Central Coast and knew that they wanted their wedding to highlight its beautiful scenery. It only took one visit to Tres Hermanas Winery in Santa Maria for them to know it was the right place. Friends and family gathered under the vineyard's beautiful oak tree for the outdoor ceremony and watched as the couple exchanged handwritten vows. Rachel's simple, lace dress was accented with delicate jewelry and she carried a bouquet that was bursting with yellow sunflowers and purple accents. Corey's vision for a Fall wedding came together in their yellow and brown color scheme and the vineyard itself added to the rustic ambience. The reception was filled with unique decorations which included centerpeices crafted from old records, mint-books made of sheet music, and a handmade cake-topper that featured two [adorable] sloths.
Rachel and Corey's wedding truly represented their quirky relationship and, by working together, they created a special night that was overflowing with love and nature's light.
