Inspired by Southern California, this styled shoot comes to us from the talented mind of Andrea Freeman. “The lifestyle and Southern California state of mind were the inspiration for this shoot,” explains Freeman of Andrea Freeman Events. “It's a place where the desert meets the ocean and I wanted to capture that contrast with the styling.” The simple, yet elegant and modern look was set against the backdrop of Venice’s Space Abbot Kinney.
Freeman used the location as a jumping off place and paired classic pieces with modern touches, such as decorating an industrial table with desert succulents, orange-hued garden roses with subtle pops of pink and purple atop a textured burlap linen runner. Providing a touch of vintage is the antique china place settings, delicate etched glassware and handwritten calligraphy place cards. Setting the mood from the beginning are the invitations which combine vintage etching with modern typography and hand-lettering.
