Annalee Collins and Ethan Ford fell in love while she was a summer intern at the engineering firm where he worked. Ethan proposed five years later, during a family trip to visit Annalee’s grandparents in Manhattan Beach. Currently, the couple lives in Colorado, but they decided to tie the knot in California in a nod to their romance’s beginnings. It was love at first sight when they found Rancho Las Lomas. The venue’s perfect location between the sea and the mountains made it “the best of both worlds,” Annalee says. For the design, wedding planner Marisa Ronca of Marisa Nicole Events wanted the day to feel romantic, with an enchanting touch of whimsy. She opted for a true-blue color palette, incorporating greens and dusty whites as accents, with diluted splashes of blush and metallics. Signage included calligraphy on a mix of wood and acrylic to add a modern vibe to the rustic setting. Gracing the entry to the ceremony was a beautiful glass doorway draped with flowers and anchored with cream-colored lanterns. For the guest book, Polaroid cameras were provided, allowing guests to snap candid moments for Annalee and Ethan to enjoy for years to come.
