Growing up mere blocks away from each other, Katie Petersen and Sam Dickinson were fated to bump into each other years later and find that their forever love had been hidden under their noses since childhood. Wanting to pay tribute to their family ties in Northern California, the pair decided their wedding day should be celebrated Santa Lucia Preserve to honor the region’s natural beauty. The sun streaming through the ancient trees, Katie and Sam exchanged vows amidst colorful meadow-inspired floral installations featuring dahlias, delphiniums and snapdragons in a mix of bright and muted shades. After a garden party style happy hour, the party moved into the warm shelter of the barn lit with twinkle lights amidst clouds of lush foliage hanging from above. A carefully curated dance party ensued after a farm-to-table dinner, the 14-piece band creating a jubilant atmosphere by scoring the evening with the happy couple’s favorite songs.
