Voted Best Wedding Planner in the San Luis Obispo Region, for 4 out of the last 5 years by industry leader, California Wedding Day, Amanda has achieved a level of excellence second-to-none. After earning her Bachelor of Arts degree from California State University, Fresno, she began her career with positions in marketing, public relations, event planning and corporate communications. In both the private and public sectors, she worked for the PGA and LPGA Tours, IMG Worldwide, NBC television, CBS television and REC Solar.
In 2013, Amanda took the leap and started her own event and wedding planning business, based in San Luis Obispo, California, serving clients all over the state. For the past 12 years, her company, Amanda Holder Events, LLC, specializes in event and wedding design, planning and management.
Amanda and two industry friends founded The Wedding Space in 2015, a collaborative workspace for women in the wedding industry, which still operates today and has fostered the growth of many successful female-owned businesses over the years. In 2015, Amanda and four other industry friends founded the SLO Wedding Planners, a group of individual wedding planners in the area whose mission it was to lift each other up and elevate the local wedding planning industry.
With more than 25 years of combined experience in marketing, public relations, event and wedding planning, and corporate communications, in both the private and public sectors, she is so excited to join the Iron Diamond team. She is based in beautiful San Luis Obispo and looks forward to traveling up and down the state connecting with the California wedding community.
