Hands down, this is one of our favorite winter weddings. From the bride's fur stole to the adorable "Baby, It's Cold Outside" signage for the hot beverage bar, Katie and Casey's nuptial make us want to bundle up and drink hot cocoa by the fire.
Their unconventional wedding took place in Lake Tahoe in the heart of winter. Rather than choose a theme, the couple used the beauty of nature and the cozy Ritz-Carlton lodge as inspiration. Katie wanted the night to feel classic and elegant, so she enlisted the help of Platinum Weddings by Kerrie to create a “cabin-chic” ambiance. After a chilly outdoor ceremony under Tahoe’s magnificent trees, guests made their way into a cozy reception filled with soft textures, warm lights and mixed metals. Each table was lined with succulent white flowers, and the dinner menus were calligraphed in gold and personalized for each guest. The couple’s stunning rose-petal-wrapped cake, centered on a glittering sequined tablecloth, was designed by the dessert chef at The Ritz-Carlton. Katie and Casey’s evening wedding was more than they could have ever imagined—a snowy celebration that warmed everyone with love from the inside out.
