Coworkers Brigitte and David first bonded through their shared love of travel and aviation. It took only a few years of David's lighthearted attempts to ask Brigitte out before she surprised him in 2023 by saying yes. For the pair, their wedding was a day to celebrate the blending of their families and to honor how they met. Held at Mission San Juan Capistrano, their dream of a fun-filled, Spanish-inspired garden-party wedding came to life. Homages to the couple’s love story began with their invitations, designed to resemble passports and boarding passes in the dark sage that would become a signature color for the wedding. As guests entered, they found reserved seating marked with playful ‘Reserved First Class’ signage. Full of vibrant, sunset-hued florals, the ceremony took place before a beautiful tree in the mission’s sun-dappled garden. As the couple took their place beneath the sweeping branches, the soft rustle of leaves and the gathered breath of their loved ones made the whole garden feel suspended in a perfect, quiet moment. Friends and family found their way to the reception marked by the fun sign that read “The Party is Now Boarding.” The seating board was personalized luggage tags displayed on a cleverly named departure board, which guided everyone to their gates and terminals. The newlyweds enjoyed a private moment at their sweetheart table, or rather “The Cockpit.” With one last wink to how they met, the couple cut the cake, topped with a miniature airplane, pulling along a banner reading “Just Married.”
