Alicia and Thomas Bugbee opted for a wedding at Cielo Farms in Malibu that paired sumptuous views with the sophisticated formality of a black-and-white palette. For wedding vendor Alicia and owner of Alicia Lynn Designs, her vision for her own wedding day was pure romance. The invitation suite she designed for her nuptials to Thomas was inspired by a painting and featured an antique European feel with chic adornments and butterflies accenting the cards. White and black took center stage in the entire design with timelessly sleek results. The couple is initially from California, but after two years in Atlanta, they chose to take some key vendors from their new home city to Malibu to help perfect their big day.
Alicia was a bridal beauty in her Sarah Seven gown with a sleek fit and layered skirt. Groom Thomas came prepared to wow with a classic black tux and bowtie accented with a white boutonniere. A lush floral arch served as an altar for the ceremony and featured cascading white florals with accents of ivory and brown settled among greenery. Staying on theme, dainty butterfly adornments were woven throughout the altar and Alicia's veil featured embroidered butterflies for a look that was equally enchanting and whimsical.
Whispers of nature seeped into the reception space elegantly in tablescapes that blended in organic design elements. Banquet tables were arranged surrounding the dance floor and floating string lights added a soft glow to Cielo Farms' gorgeous space. One our the highlights was signage with "Together is the Best Place to Bugbee" proudly displayed, a charming nod to the newlyweds' last name. Among other fun details, an audio guest book offered friends and family the chance to record and preserve messages for the newlyweds. Alicia upped the glam for her late-night look, a bold sleeveless gown accessorized with gloves that paired effortlessly with her natural beauty. The entire event was a cohesive display of elegance that explored Alicia's central inspiration with repeating motifs, something our bride attributed to her ability to meet with local Atlanta vendors in person and bring them on-site in Malibu to execute a dreamy wedding-day design.
