Globe-trotters Angela Yen and Jenson Sanchez met for the first time at a bar in Venice, Italy. And though it began as a friendship, they fell in love while traveling and soon found themselves on a romantic sojourn in Croatia. After scouring Southern California for the perfect venue to celebrate their union, they finally found their match at La Venta Inn. “From the beautiful blue ocean in the background and water running through the courtyard fountain to the Anthropologie-smelling candles burning and gentle sun beaming down on us, it was the perfect welcome,” describes Angela. “We also had the nicest coordinator, Charla, who met with us on our first visit. She walked us through every step, provided details and answered all of our questions—and I had a lot!” With the couple’s close friend officiating, the ceremony was held under the glow of the setting sun with a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. In a nod to their passion for exploring, their guest-book table was decorated with photos from their past adventures and a peach-colored globe. The dining tables were set with peach and white flowers with green eucalyptus leaves. Delicate touches included the light pink cloth napkins and small wooden place cards. Guests had fun in the mirror selfie photo booth from Framed Impressions and danced the night away.
