Winter 2015-2016

The name Mindy Weiss is synonymous with beautiful and luxurious weddings. In the bridal realm, it brings to mind abundant floral-adorned feasting tables, dramatic tenting and thoughtful details that quickly find their way onto every bride’s Pinterest board. But before you go overboard on pinning, Weiss advises taking an important first step: Choose your venue and then decide on a style. “The couple may love rustic, but they chose an elegant ballroom,” notes Weiss. “In this case, they may consider a compromise of an eclectic mixture of vintage and modern. This will help to combine their look with the venue.”

And while Weiss is known for lavish weddings, she got her start creating stationery and has now come full circle with an exclusive line for Wedding Paper Divas. “The invitation is the first impression that guests will receive before the wedding, so I love being a part of that important moment for thousands of brides.”

Weiss’ watercolor-inspired invitations served as the inspiration point for this beautiful violet ombré assembly of wedding essentials. “Watercolor purple will have everything from violet to lilac, so it gives some diversity to the color palette,” explains Weiss. “It’s also fun to find unexpected ways to incorporate the hue—dip-dyed napkins, ombre flowers, hand-painted desserts, to name a few. Anything ombré makes me swoon!”
