From a Christmas day proposal to a summer wedding, Aurora and John celebrated their special day nestled in the heart of Malibu Wine Country at the whimsical and romantic Calamigos Ranch. It was during the couple’s search for dog friendly restaurants that the two discovered this sublime location. Immediately falling in love with the ranch, the two declared that they would one day be married there and have Duke, their dog, be a part of the celebration.
With the venue settled, it was time to focus on the details of the décor. The theme was rustic and romantic, and the two were passionate about making sure the small details count. Guests were immediately gifted tokens of Aurora and John’s love when they arrived at the ceremony to seats holding programs and handkerchiefs for “happy tears” embroidered with the couple’s names and wedding date.
Duke had passed away the year prior to the wedding, but to ensure their beloved pup was still with them on their special day, Aurora’s best friend had a small charm made with his photograph that was attached to the bride’s bouquet. And to add to the sentiment, Aurora’s stunning veil was hand made by her mother’s best friend of 35+ years!
From start to finish the entire affair was simply gorgeous. Adorned with white linens and dishware, and lush floral arrangements in tones of pinks and blush, romance was evident absolutely everywhere.
