Cheers to Love: A Lovely Lavender-Hued Wedding With Rustic Details at Terra Mia Vineyards
Brittney and Shane’s love story first began in kindergarten, decades before Shane’s scenic proposal at Sequoia National Park. Their paths crossed for the second time in high school, where a friendship blossomed that managed to stay strong, even through college. Unbeknownst to Brittney, Shane always had an inkling that their bond was deeper than that unbreakable friendship and after college, he made his move. It was a simple kiss that marked the end of one chapter and the beginning of the rest of their lives.
It only took a few minutes at Terra Mia Vineyards for Brittney and Shane to know that it would be an ideal backdrop for their magical day. They turned to San Luis Obispo’s Le Festin Events to bring that vision to life. The team focused on the couple’s passion for hiking among the Redwoods and sipping craft beers to transform the venue into a rustic wonderland brimming with their own custom beer logos, a tasting glass for each guest and hors d’oeuvres that perfectly complemented each craft brew.
Le Festin wanted this rustic wedding to be unique, so its planners reinvented the popular theme by celebrating all of the things Brittney and Shane love. They worked with Lori Boe Floral Design to mix wildflowers and soft pink roses in each stunning bouquet and to build centerpiece vessels out of authentic pine tree bark. Natural greens and warm purples were the focus of their color palette, which tied in beautifully with the lush green backdrop and were warmed by soft bulb lighting as day turned to dusk.
In lieu of a tradition, Shane opted for a deep blue suit paired with a muted lilac tie that complemented the bridesmaids’ dresses and the rich colors of Brittney’s bouquet. For dessert, Just Baked Cake Studio and Bakery was inspired by the couple’s love for the outdoors to create a two-tiered cake topped with white buttercream icing and soft purple roses and leaves.
