After saying their “I dos” at St. Francis Solano Church, Lauren and Dell invited their closest family and friends to a European tea party-inspired reception at Boot Hill at the Kunde Family Winery. The couple envisioned a classic and simple setting to highlight Sonoma’s natural beauty. The day’s elegant details included delicate, floral stationery from Bianca at Studio Luzance, hand-dyed silk ribbon and twinkling lights strung from 100+ year old oaks. Lush blooms and garlands hugged the wooden sweetheart table under the arch of an oak tree. The bridal party signed a special bottle of Kunde’s Moon Mountain District wine to be opened on the couple’s 10th anniversary.
Both the bride and groom are East Coast natives, but after six years of long distance, they moved in together for the first time in San Francisco, leading to their decision to wed in California. Lauren wanted her dress to symbolize their first home. “My Amy Kuschel gown was the perfect reflection of that––a local, San Francisco-based designer that really incorporated the California aesthetic into each of her pieces.”
Lauren and Dell wanted to show off Sonoma’s incredible scenery to their East Coast-heavy guest list. “Having an experienced wine country wedding planner was key!” Lauren said. “Lindsey [of L’Relyea Events] was super helpful to make sure all aspects of our day provided our guests with a wine country celebration they wouldn’t forget!” The pair enjoyed an evening under the stars, dancing the night away to Hip Service with their friends and family.
