Love and Fireworks: A Modern Wedding at the Parker Palm Springs

Real Wedding

Spring Summer 2015

Scott and Alex dreamed of a romantic candlelit affair with an artful display of flowers and succulents in deep reds and desert greens. Artisan Event Floral Decor created an understated and masculine look with sleek chrome lanterns mingled with driftwood adorned with succulents, air plants and orchids. Red roses were incorporated as a tribute to Alex’s late mother. A canopy of frosted mini-globe string lights gave the area a soft and magical feeling. The couple kicked off the dancing with a surprise fireworks display

The couple opted not to wear matching suits. Scott wore a beautiful navy Prada suit and tie, while Alex looked dapper in a black Givenchy suit and navy-and-black-striped Lanvin tie. “Our best memory was feeling all the love and support from our family and friends as we walked down the aisle,” say Scott and Alex. “It felt like we were floating down the aisle rather than walking!”

Bride Idea: In lieu of gifts, the couple requested that donations be made to Cure Alzheimer’s Fund in memory of Alex’s mother, and to Susan G. Komen, in honor of Scott’s mother, who is a breast cancer survivor.
