Married and celebrated: Sonoma

Heather Gillis and Adrian Gould celebrated their union with an organic boho micro wedding in Sonoma. After a magical beach proposal, Heather, a wedding planner herself, began planning her wedding to her college boyfriend. But, like many 2020 couples, the big wedding they had been planning were put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Undeterred, Heather pivoted to an intimate minimony of 15 guests, with the originally planned wedding being postponed to the following year. On a minimony budget, Heather was strategic with her planning, picking and choosing special elements to include. The happy family also contributed, with her brother’s girlfriend making the calligraphy name cards and her mother hand-making the welcome sign. Wooden lanterns and pampas grass (cut and dried by Heather herself) adorned the beautiful outdoor setting. Delicate hues of pink, white, and beige highlighted the natural backdrop and olive-green place settings. The lovely couple got creative with a self-serve bar, putting together a cocktail recipe menu that featured unique names like Mask Up Manhattan, Social Distancing Spritz, and Covidpolitan. Since the guest list was so small, Heather and Adrian enjoyed being able to personally connect with all of their guests who had all impacted their lives and relationship.
