Magic Happens: A Dream Berta Gown and an Ethereal Garden Wedding
Our hearts definitely skipped a beat when we laid eyes on Sarah and Scott's Hummingbird Nest Ranch wedding. The couple met while attending USC, and hit it off during a football game in 2013. Fast forward two and a half years later, Scott proposed to Sarah on the beach in Maui as the sun set. Of course Sarah gave a resounding yes, and the two began planning their wedding day.
Sarah had her heart set on an ethereal wedding vibe rather than anything rustic, expressing her desire for something similar to a "romantic garden alcove" in London, Paris or Italy. Her beautiful dream came to fruition with help from Orange Blossom Special Events when the big day rolled around.
We cannot get over this couple's incredible wedding style. Sarah stunned in an amazing Berta bridal gown (and was the winner of our Editor's Pick for Best Dressed!) shining with elegance and boasting breathtaking details. Scott opted for a traditional black tux and bowtie, making the duo one well-dressed couple. With the addition of bold hues of red and blue, the wedding style was definitely on point.
From Brooke Avishay of Orange Blossom Special Events: "I often think that really great people end up with really great weddings. Fate just falls in their favor for being extraordinary humans. This is exactly what happened with Sarah and Scott. Working with both of them to create their wedding was a dream. Sarah chose a beautiful fall color palette that included shades of red and slate blue, along with copper and bronze. Sarah's impeccable taste was apparent in her wedding style. Not to mention that Berta Bridal gown - wow! I can't imagine the designers at Berta handpicking a better real-life model for that dress. Sarah shone like the brightest star in that gown and left everyone who saw her in it that day breathless.
Sarah and Scott's wedding day unfolded perfectly from beginning to end with an exquisitely catered meal from Command Performance Catering, rentals from A Rental Connection, and expertly crafted florals from Enchanted Garden Floral Design, which captured the color palette exactly as the couple envisioned. Archive Vintage Rentals provided antique doors to frame the ceremony aisle and antique window shutters to hold guests' escort cards. Frost It Cakery supplied the "cherry on top" with a 3-tiered cake brushed in rose gold and bronze. "
